History and Growth

Originally established to support vulnerable children in the community, Intwari School began as a nursery school with just 26 pupils—many of whom were orphans and children previously cared for at the former KARIBU Youth and Children’s Rights Centre. In January 2008, Intwari expanded its services by opening a primary school section, starting with four classes and 157 pupils.

By 2012, the school had grown into a fully registered day primary school with more than 300 pupils enrolled across both nursery and primary levels. Today, it continues to serve the Kabarondo community and surrounding areas, offering high-quality education to children from diverse backgrounds.
